The Meditation Initiative will be having its first Volunteer Team Meeting on Saturday, September 27th, 2014 at 10am-12pm. (Location TBD). We are looking to build a team of volunteers to handle administrative and operational tasks for The Meditation Initiative. As the Meditation Outreach Program expands, we need to focus on core business operations. Since we have limited funding at this time, we are relying on volunteers to take us to the next level.
If you are interested in attending this Volunteer Team Meeting, please email peace@meditationinitiative.org and let us know your area(s) of interest. If you have no specific focus, that is ok as well and you are welcome to join us. This will be a brainstorming session with some direct action items and workgroups to be continued after this initial gathering.
Some specific areas of need are listed below, however I would expect the meeting to bring up other areas as well:
•Fundraising (Individual Donors, Corporations, Foundations)
•Grant Writing / Research
•Communications (Website, Blog, Newsletters,etc.)
•Train the Trainer Workshop Coordinator
•Program Development
* Please note - At this time, we are not looking for more people to lead meditation. Our focus is on building the infrastructure and operations.
