After meditation, students were asked what can happen if they stop and take three deep breaths. One boy replied, "It can keep me out of prison." Founder Jeffrey Zlotnik led meditation at a Juvenile Court and Community School this morning. While being introduced, the teacher stated that this would be the most valuable tool they would learn in their schooling.

Juvenile Court and Community Schools (JCCS) provide a fully-accredited educational program for school-age youth who are either wards of the court or have been referred by social services, probation, or one of the 42 school districts in San Diego County. Services are provided to incarcerated youth, pregnant minors, foster youth, expelled teens, and chronically truant youth, students in drug treatment centers and group homes for neglected or abused children, and homeless youth.
